Proverb for the Day

I was reading Proverbs and feel this applies to education and school as well.

 ²To know wisdom and instruction,
         To discern the sayings of understanding,
    ³To receive instruction in wise behavior,
         Righteousness, justice and equity;
    ⁴To give prudence to the naive,
         To the youth knowledge and discretion,
    ⁵A wise man will hear and increase in learning,
         And a man of understanding will acquire wise counsel,
    ⁶To understand a proverb and a figure,
         The words of the wise and their riddles.
    ⁷The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge;
         Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Power of Words

We had a past graduate of the high school where I teach come back to inspire the students for college week.  Some really good nuggets of info that is heard often, but when do we actually take it to heart and think/apply to life?
*Don't let your here define your future.
*Learn to distinguish what's real and fake before you get out of here. It will save you from getting hustled.
*Discernment- take the good & leave the bad.
*Who are you role models? What do they stand for?
*Keep a small, tight inner circle of friends that encourage you, don't put you down.
*Remember the power of words.
